Dahlia memorial fundraiser

If you know us and you know Ballydídean, you know how much this hurts. I can't do Dahlia justice today, this week, or this year, so for now, I will keep this short. Dahlia was the first animal we said yes to. Most of you don't know us without her. In many ways, we don't know ourselves without her. She was our friend and mentor. She was patient, she was kind, she was vigilant, she was loving. She's in our logo. She will soon be tattooed on my skin. We have lost many at the sanctuary, and she helped us through it all, bringing together a community that can help us through her loss. She was the friendly cow that so many visitors hugged. She was the stylish cow that graduating seniors scheduled photos with. She was the sacred cow that indian immigrant families prayed to.
