Callum was raised for an FFA program and then abandoned at the school. Saved by a teacher who discovered turkeys’ curious, caring personalities, he was later joined by Brenda, Larry, and Butternut are Broad-breasted White turkeys who were all rescued from factory farms where they would have been killed at just 14 weeks old. Sam Peckett is a Chocolate heritage turkey who was brought to us by a local man who was caring for him. Sam lost his companion, and the kindly man thought he deserved a flock. We agreed! We rescued Cessna, Kyle, and Turkey Lurkey after none of the other turkey ladies chose Sam as their companion and now they live as the cutest little family of four!
